Second of all, have no fear!
This dresser came from my Great Grandma and the color is perfect so I’m a little hesitant to try to refinish it even though I destroyed it when I had it in my room growing up..I tried to paint our old doorknobs, but they ended up getting too crusty to work properly and Chris got locked in the bathroom one day.
I had to hand him a screwdriver through the window so he could bust his way out.So I bought some cheapo replacement knobs for all the doors in here until we get our new doors up and I decide what I really want..The bedside table areas have been a source for much drama recently.
I bought some glass lamps (like the one on the old dresser that you saw previously) and loved them. One day last week, a big gust of wind came in and knocked one right onto the floor.
It sounded like the most delicate Christmas ornament shattering into a million pieces.
I flipped out on.because they keep everything looking impeccably tidy if you don’t want to spend a long time fussing over folding your sheets perfectly and they’re a super cost-effective solution.. We plan on adding another row of cabinets inside the actual bedroom eventually and you can see that we need them!
Like a lot of old houses, we don’t have a linen closet so I definitely need somewhere to put my collection of plaid blankets and other various forms of blanketry.I have a few here and a few in a giant basket.
I’m also pretty fond of beach towels, and we always seem to go through them so quickly in the summer, so I think I’ll probably need this whole cupboard for them soon. But it works for now, even if it’s pretty jammed-full in there.. Clear glass vases of different shapes and sizes are always handy to have around so I keep those in this cupboard.. … And then I have this cupboard for my milk glass and my blue and white stuff.
